Christies Hospital NHS Trust

This was a rolling programme in partnership with the then Bluestone plc (now Morgan Ashurst Plc), involving the construction of a new build Mortuary area, followed by the new build construction of three linear accelerators with the refurbishment to a further three.

The central site area consisted of the refurbishment of one area with a development above to create two further floors one to house private patients and the other for administration area.

This was a technically complex project, involving the integration of a new development into the centre of the existing hospital site, which meant close liaison and consultation with the hospital management to ensure the correct integration of services into the existing networks. Close communication with the adjacent hospital departments was essential in ensuring that there was minimal disruption to the smooth running of the North of England’s leading cancer research hospital.

This programme lasted for a period of 104 weeks.
