These works comprised both new–build and refurbishment, with the new build consisting of 5 levels, including roof top plant room. The gross internal area covered approximately 5,500 square meters, and the Electrical engineering value was in the region of £1million. This was carried out in partnership with Pochin Contractors Ltd over a 15 month contract period.
The installation covered the lighting, small power, mains infrastructure, fire alarm, structured wiring system, CCTV , security, Lightning protection and Building Management System installations.
The fact that this involved working within the confines of a University campus under constant use meant close co-operation with the end user so as to minimise disruption to the staff and students throughout the building works.
