In May and June 2010, we embarked on a “10 year refresh” for Tesco Stores at the Altrincham store. This was an extremely intense exercise, and involved months of meetings and planning in order to determine the level of refurbishment, establish a rigid cost structure and co-ordinate all the works fully with all the associated contractors and the store itself. There was a 6 week period when preparatory works, and works at “back of house” were carried out (generally at nights and weekends), followed by a full week shutdown of the store, when all the “front of house” works had to be completed.
Within the last week when the store was shutdown, we had to include at the last moment, the installation of a new “Accent” lighting scheme being rolled out by Tesco nationwide. This was successfully incorporated into an already busy and intensive schedule of works.
